WHAT PEOPLE ARE MAKING

Opus 5.5 motion graphics dominate. Two thirds of the index is some form of animated design: showreels, kinetic typography, logo reveals, UI morphs, the kind of thing a motion designer would build in After Effects. 87 of the 457 shared prompts are a variation of one viral brief ("make a dynamic 15-second motion graphics video that shows what an incredible motion designer you are"), and the results became a genre of their own.

Next come explainers and product videos: launch ads for real startups, feature walkthroughs built from a product's own screenshots, narrated lessons on physics, finance and history. These tend to have the longest prompts and the most tools in the pipeline, because they need a script, a voice and a structure, not just motion.

Then a long tail: 3D scenes in Three.js, generative art, interactive toys that were screen-recorded, music videos, short stories with characters, comparisons of the same prompt across models. A handful run several minutes; the median is about half a minute.

CLAUDE DOESN'T RENDER VIDEO. IT WRITES IT.

Claude Opus 5.5 has no video output. What it does, very well, is write the code that produces a video: an HTML page animated with CSS or GSAP, a canvas or SVG drawing that moves over time, a Three.js scene with shaders, a Remotion or HyperFrames composition. That code is then played back in a headless browser and captured frame by frame into an MP4.

That is why so many of these clips look like motion graphics: kinetic type, UI mockups, data that animates into place. They are web pages that know how to move. The better ones add a voiceover from a text-to-speech model, music, or images from an image model, stitched together with FFmpeg, and some use purpose-built skills that teach a coding agent the whole pipeline.

HOW PEOPLE MAKE THEM

The simplest route is a single request in the Claude app: ask for an animated HTML page, open it, and screen-record it. Many of the quick showreels in the index look like they started this way.

The more polished work usually runs through Claude Code or another coding agent, with a rendering framework that captures frames deterministically: HyperFrames, which renders HTML to MP4, or Remotion, which does the same for React. Voice, music and images come from separate services, and FFmpeg stitches the result.

Claude Opus 5.5 is available in the Claude apps on paid plans (Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise; not the free tier) and through the API as claude-opus-5-5, at $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. By our rough estimate a short animation is a few thousand output tokens; a long, multi-scene production with several rounds of revision can run far more.

MAKE ONE YOURSELF

Most of the videos here are one animated web page that Claude wrote from a prompt, then recorded. Here's the workflow the creators actually used.

  1. 1

    Start from a real prompt

457 videos in the index come with the creator's full prompt. Open any video with aPROMPT tag, copy it, and change the subject. Ask for a single self-contained HTML file on a fixed stage.

  2. 2

    Direct it like an editor

"One prompt" is rarely one prompt. The good results come from a clear brief and a few rounds of notes:

    • Give a reference: a video or style you want it to feel like.
    • Spell out the scenes, timings, colours and copy.
    • Send specific notes: "hold the end card a second longer".
  3. 3

Record it to a video file

Claude hands you an animated page. Screen-record it for a quick post, or capture it frame by frame when the timing has to be exact.

Long, narrated, or editing footage you already have? That's where a render framework or a video skill still earns its place.

WHAT THIS INDEX IS

Anthropic released Claude Opus 5.5 on 22 September 2026. Within four days, people on X had posted hundreds of videos they said it made: motion-design showreels, product launch ads, explainers, 3D scenes, music videos, a five-minute documentary. The timeline filled faster than anyone could keep track of it.

This index collects 1276 of those Opus 5.5 videos from 1007 creators, 1567 minutes of footage in all, with 78.9M views between them on X. Each one links back to the original post and credits the person who made it. For 457 of them the creator also shared the prompt, and we show it in full, so you can see exactly what was asked for and try it yourself.

The videos belong to their creators. What we add is the collection: a title and a short note on what each video shows, a type, the tools the creator named, and a way to search and sort all of it in one place.

WHAT THIS INDEX CAN'T TELL YOU

We can't verify that every video was made the way its creator says. The attribution to Claude Opus 5.5 is the creator's; a few openly used other models for voice, images or footage, and we list those when they're named. None of these videos has been independently reproduced by us.

A prompt that worked once won't give you the same video twice. Opus 5.5 writes different code each run, and many creators iterated through several rounds of feedback that the shared prompt doesn't show. Treat the prompts as a starting point, not a recipe.

And view counts are a snapshot from when we indexed each post. They measure attention on X, not quality.

CLAUDE VIDEO FAQ

Can Claude Opus 5.5 generate video?
Not directly. Claude has no video output. It writes code (HTML, CSS, canvas, SVG, Three.js, or a Remotion/HyperFrames composition) and that code is rendered to an MP4 by a browser or a rendering tool. Every video in this index was made that way, sometimes with other models adding voice, music or images.
Is this an official Anthropic site?
No. This is an independent index and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic.
Where do the videos come from?
Public posts on X, found through community-maintained lists, then fetched and indexed. Every video credits its creator and links to the original post. The videos, posts and prompts belong to the people who made them.
Can I use these prompts?
They're shown so you can learn from them and try your own version. The prompt text belongs to its creator; if you build on one, crediting them is the decent thing to do.
How do I get my video listed or removed?
Post it on X with a clear mention that it was made with Claude Opus 5.5 and it may be picked up in the next update. To have a video removed, contact us through the address on the privacy page and we'll take it down.
What do the view counts mean?
Views on X at the time we indexed the post. They're a measure of reach, not quality, and they aren't updated live.
